Probiotic Producer Vésale Pharma Visits Coway

On June 14, 2016, Belgium probiotic producer Vésale Pharma visited Coway to seek resources to adjust its Chinese market-entry strategy. This company believed that Coway’s big network could be of great help to pave its way into the Chinese market.

Vésale Pharma’s representatives include: associate director Pierre Iweins, business development manager Johan Quintens, its distributor in China and the general manager of its US branch. The four had a meeting with Coway’s biochemical department. The two sides discussed about Vésale Pharma’s core technology and products, and reached a consensus that solid research support from Tsinghua University is needed to introduce its products into China. Coway expressed that after acquiring more technical details of its probiotic production, it would help Vésale Pharma to find the right research partner in Tsinghua University.

Vésale Pharma came into contact with Coway through OWIN, which was co-founded by Coway, Texas A&M System Technology Commercialization and AWEX.
